Wet, wet weekend!

June 21st, 2005  |  Published in India & Around, Living, Nature & Wildlife, Sports & Adventure, Travel  |  15 Comments

So a gang of 19 of us made it to Honnemardu for the weekend.

We spent most of the time in water. And getting wet even out of it since it poured and poured and poured.

Came back to Bangalore on Monday morning with lots of wet clothes and a tan :)

The folks who made it:
Adel
Arnab
Chander
Dheepak
Nithya
Kavitha
Kripa
Suman
Sathish
Retisaint
Vazu
Anjana
Anuja
Ganesh
Roopa
Tulsi
Sathish
Senthil

With Roopa in the water

Roopa and me enjoy the warm waters of Honnemardu

A lovely trip. Great weather — rainy, but fun! An eventful night camping in a deserted island. Swimming back from the island to base camp. Canoeing. Rowing. Capsizing. Loads of rice and sambar. Climbing, slipping, falling… Lovely bunch of people. What more can one ask for on a weekend out of town?

Pictures and write-up will follow later as usual :)

Hey Anita, Seems like you people had fun. Your pose, a la “Bhangara Style” reminds me of Kiruba’s posture in the “bangalore bloggers meet” pic. hehe!!!

[…] We had loads of fun. The semi-periodic spells of rain coupled with the all-day water sports made sure that we were wet throughout. View the Flickr photo essay […]
