There are lot of movies with a good message than this one. Even now after winning an Oscar I still fail to see what makes the movie worth what they say it is. The screenplay was not tight and in some ways it did look amateurish. As with all Oscar winning movies (with exception to 'A Beautiful Mind'), it was just plain boring. Yes, the story has a message but it fails to make the viewer take notice of it inspite of using high profile actors like Fraser, Bullock (which by the way was wasted in this movie) and Newton.
