Food Fest!

July 28th, 2006  |  Published in Eating Out, Entertainment, Living, Wining & Dining  |  10 Comments

So we Bangalore Metbloggers have been in a foodie mood lately, all fuelled by my desire to get some posts going out of the gang!

I started off the chain with the search for the perfect momo — part one and two. Usha writes about the delightful café at the Alliance. Sujatha reviews Herbs & Spices, the rather cosy delightful place in Indiranagar. Looking for a quick roll? Ravi tells you that Fanoos is a good choice. He also takes my 2 post threat to heart and visits Annachi in 100 feet Road, Koramangala, and says he can cook better! We are going to take him up on that soon! Shruthi writes about one of my favourite tea places, called Infinitea. And btw, you do get a lot more than just tea there! Rubic_Cube goes looking for the perfect idly and Kanth gives us a sampling of more Chettinad in Koramangala at Ponnuswamy’s. Where apparently, you also get rabbit!

Okay, don’t complain that I haven’t given you enough food for thought (and the stomach) to get you through the weekend!

Thanks for sharing a lot of different varieties of foods in your post. Well, I’ve once tried fried momos with chilly sauce…was really tempting.

    Anita,

Sorry to be saying this, but I stopped reading Bangalore Metblogs about a couple of weeks ago because it increasingly seemed like the posts were for the sake of posting something, regardless of whether there was anything to be said.

I’d be happier with fewer and more thoughtful posts.

    @ jona: thanks you :)

@ perspectives: hope you gave yourself a treat!

    @ bangalore bytes: thanks!

@ jace: like any community (and a new one at that) we have been trying to work out the best mix of posts and topics. also, with all of us being already occupied, you can imagine how challenging it is. however, from you as a reader, i’d really appreciate some more constructive feedback (that will definitely be more useful) like what you’d like to read about bangalore, any aspects you think we can cover, what a bangalorean wants and even what an outside wants to read about the city (including story ideas). we definitely can’t do everything but it will definitely help us in coming to a good mix). we’re already trying to do podcasting interviews to make it interactive and ravi has done 3 really great interviews. we are also looking at a diversity of topics in the coming months.

    Anita,

I understand your concern for Bangalore MetBlogs is real, and appreciate that. I’ll list my concerns when I can find the time — hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

BTW, are you attending Geetha Navale’s piano+veena performance today at 7pm at Alliance Francaise? See you there.

    Generic forms of prozac.

Potatoes not prozac. Can prozac cause depression to worsen. Does prozac make your pee smell.
