Another new brunch in town

November 20th, 2006  |  Published in Eating Out, Entertainment, Living, Personal, Photography, Wining & Dining  |  8 Comments

Brunches can prove to be rather harmful to your pockets. But just hanging out at a nice place, enjoying the breezy and cool Bangalore weather in the company of family and friends over a long, leisurely lunch is not an altogether unpleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon either. I would recommend it once in a while!

This Sunday, I got an opportunity to try out the brunch at Lido, the 24 hour coffee place and restaurant, at Ista. For those of you who might not know this place, it’s the hotel built in the same place where the old Lido theatre was located. It’s relatively new so a lot of people haven’t heard of it as yet.

Here’s the review of Ista and Lido and a whole lot of pictures!

Yummy!

Sweet tooth, anyone?

Where I'd like to be right now :)

Have you seen the new India search engine http://www.ByIndia.com they added all the cool features of popular products like MySpace, YouTube, Ebay, Craigslist, etc. all for free to use and specifically for India. Anyone else try this yet?

    Hi!
    The food looks so yummy!
But I was sad to hear that LIDO theatre is not
    there anymore
When we were kids, our parents used to take
us for movies and Lido, was one of our favorites.
When I come to Bangalore next, Im going to check it out!

    gautam: please do!

thanks umesh. glad you liked them!

lydia: yes, i think for bangaloreans it was one of those cherished landmarks. they’re now building a movie theatre also beside the hotel complex.

I have tried out the brunch and it is worth every penny.…the fried squid (Calamari ??) was really good.
