“Photography was the hobby that saved me a few years ago when I landed in Bangalore with exactly two human contacts. This gang of photography and travel enthusiasts in the city proved to be a lifesaver. Without them, I would probably still be walking up and down Brigade Road on weekends, bored out of my wits. ”
And I’m quite seriously actually. I can’t quite imagine my life not surrounded by the creative enthusiastic photographers and travellers that I’ve had the good fortune to meet through the Bangalore Weekend Shoots group. I’ve never run out of things to do on weekends since then!
The column is here on Live Mint and it was also published in the print edition last Saturday.

good stuff, Anita — have always admired the way you up and go on weekends… nice piece — all the people I know only through flickr!
