Home remedies for the common cold

May 29th, 2009  |  by Anita  |  published in Humour, Living, Personal

So as luck would have it, I came down with a cold on Tuesday night.
And with the Sunfeast around the corner, you can imagine how frustrating that is for me. Anyway, I thought I would ask for some home-made recipes to cure a common cold and I got some very interesting responses when I posted […]

Patra ni macchi and other Parsi delicacies!

May 28th, 2009  |  by Anita  |  published in Eating, Food, Living

I had an opportunity to sample some great Parsi fare a couple of weekends ago. I had read about it in a newspaper and archived it for future reference. And then when we were looking for a place to eat in Indiranagar, I suddenly remembered my archived reference. I went there for the first time and then the following weekend : that should tell you a lot about how much I liked the food!

It’s an uphill climb!

May 11th, 2009  |  by Anita  |  published in Art, Living, Personal, Running, Sports

The training for Sunfeast is on! This is the Kanakpura stretch where we go when we want to do uphill stretches. This time we did a 4k stretch downhill to start with. And then we come back the same way, except this time it’s all uphill :-)
Believe me, it’s not happy thoughts on your mind […]

A day (and night) on a houseboat

May 5th, 2009  |  by Anita  |  published in Adventure, DesiPundit, India, Travel

The weather was hot and balmy. It was our last day in Kerala and we were looking forward to spending the night on a houseboat.

On my previous trips to Kerala, I’ve only gotten within drooling distance of a houseboat. It’s a rather expensive proposition. There was one time when Steph was down from Switzerland and we did some sightseeing on a small boat, and then went around in a little canoe (that was fun!).
