Food Fest!

So we Bangalore Metbloggers have been in a foodie mood lately, all fuelled by my desire to get some posts going out of the gang!

Oh, for a taste of Belgium!

Shibs and I go to this place often until last month, we saw a closing down sign. That was quite upsetting since we loved the waffles in this place. But last week I got a forward from a friend with some good news that two enterprising folks were taking up the tough ask of reviving […]

Seafood @ Sana-dige

Since I love sea food, my culinary antennas always go up when someone talks about good fishy fare here in Bangalore. I had a number of favourites in Mumbai, but here it’s a little more difficult to get good fish. So on a lazy Saturday afternoon, along with Madman, Ree and Menaka, we went off in […]

Potluck dinner

So this is how it works. You invite a few friends. Open some nice wine. And make them get a dish each! Isn’t that the coolest idea? That way, you spend less time in front of the stove, and more time with the friends :)

A day in Delhi

I was in Delhi for a day and thought I’d try and find myself a pair of trekking boots. A friend of mine recommended Ansal Plaza, so I headed there around 8 pm after the day’s work. Unfortunately, most shops were shutting down.

Oh Fish!

Had some amazing fish last week at Chennai, when I was there for a one day trip. Caught up with Kiruba, who as always was nice enough to take out some time from his busy schedule. Looking for a place to grab a bite, he spotted a signboard saying Coconut Lagoon with the illustration of a karimeen fish. That was enough to get me enthused and we spied the restaurant, a few metres away. It promised the Delicacies of Mangalore, Goa and Kerala and we weren’t disappointed.

Hazards of being a foodie

Sigh, it’s difficult being a foodie, I say. Firstly, there’s just so much waiting there beckoning to you saying “eat me” and secondly, you’re always fighting a losing battle with the weighing scales. Losing battle all the way, especially since I realized (much to my dismay, might I add) that I will never come close to looking like Ms Natalie Gleb-drop-everything-dead-Gova, the current Miss Universe and decided therefore to go ahead and just enjoy being a food junkie instead.

Dozing through Mr & Mrs Smith

I did the unthinkable! Despite the considerable star power and heat the couple were generating, I dozed through the second half of Mr & Mrs Smith :)
