New year, new problems!

January 18th, 2012  |  by Anita  |  published in Misc, Uncategorized

I did not foresee this — my blog totally disappearing off the online radar. Tried all sorts of things and finally figured out that I had lost the theme of my blog. On a few earlier attempts to restore via back-ups, it worked and the blog would reappear. But I ran out of luck today. Nothing worked!

Row, row, row your boat

May 13th, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

Row, row, row your boat, originally uploaded by anitabora. We headed out to the river pretty early in the morning to beat the heat during our stay in Mangalore. In the early morning, caught these fishermen taking out their nets and casting them in the river. This is the view of the river from the old […]

Under the full moon — Bhoomi Jathre 2005

April 25th, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

Under the full moon, originally uploaded by anitabora. Under a full moon night, on Kanakpura Road, we were treated to a melange of music and dance — from Hindustani classical, to rock to death metal — everything was on the menu! The dusk to dawn music concert, Bhoomi Jathre, was held at the Fireflies Ashram, about […]

Painting by Light

April 23rd, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

Some of us at the exhibition, originally uploaded by anitabora. This is the third exhibition in which the Bangalore Shutterbugs have participated or put up, in the span of about 6 months. This one is titled “Painting by Light” and has been organised by Art Mantram Foundation, a group that works for the promotion of […]

Street life in Delhi

April 11th, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

Jama Masjid, originally uploaded by anitabora. This time, when passing through Delhi on the way to Uttaranchal, we got some time to roam around the Old Delhi area. I would have loved to spend more time clicking there, but we could only afford a couple of hours. Some snapshots from the city’s street life. (Inspired […]

AK-47 episode">AK-47 episode

March 22nd, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

I was at the Forum mall on Friday evening buying tickets for a movie. In the queue behind me, a girl and boy were discussing something and nudging each other. Terrorist… commented the guy to the gal and they nudged each other again. AK-47 whispered the guy, behind my back. Only then I realised they were referring […]

Colours of spring

March 22nd, 2005  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

Colours of spring, originally uploaded by anita. I love the beautiful colours in spring time. It’s all too brief though. And the purple and yellow flowers only blossom for about a couple of weeks but they look incredibly beautiful. I took a walk around the neighbourhood a few days ago and captured a few of […]

new beginnings. new year.

December 31st, 2004  |  by Anita  |  published in Uncategorized

new beginnings. new year., originally uploaded by anitabora. Wishing all of you visiting JALS an absolutely gorgeous 2005. This beautiful sight I encountered in Hampi on Christmas Day has remained entrenched in my mind. With all the tragic events that followed, these are the moments that become even more precious. I do hope you like it. Love […]
