Weekend with travel bloggers

December 5th, 2007  |  Published in Adventure, Blogs, India, Living, Personal, Travel  |  12 Comments

On top of the world!
The gang posing atop Brahmagiri hill

Spent last weekend in cool Coorg with a bunch of travel and blog enthusiasts — some who I was already familiar with and a bunch of new faces.

It was great to meet the folks whose blogs I had been following for a while now — Arun and Mridula amongst others. The group was an eclectic one from the quiet to the very talkative, to the serious to the fun loving, but somewhere we found a fine and fun balance!

The travel report and pictures will follow later.

Anita, it was a fun trip indeed. How was your journey back? Did they really sing in the cab as they threatened?

yes, it sure was :) it was good fun as amogh and dev chatted till about 130 am so we didn’t feel any of the potholes on the road. after that, dev fell asleep happily after threatening amogh not to fall asleep as he was next to the driver! so i don’t think amogh got any sleep at all. we got to bangalore around 5 am in the morning finally. btw, the kushalnagar snaps look amazing!

[…] Recently, Club Mahindra played host to a team of bloggers who are passionate about traveling. 10 bloggers were chosen from various cities and they were invited to enjoy the hospitality at the resort at Coorg in Karnataka. The combination of travel inquisitiveness and the ability to articulate well is an awesome one. Here is a compilation of blogs written by bloggers about their experiences.Mridula : A university teacher with a penchant for trekking and table tennis. Trust us, she is good at both. Amongst others, she talks about her experiences at the Dubare Elephant Camp.Sudhir Syal : The motormouth and clearly the guy who got away pulling everyone’s legs. The fun guy. A fun travelogue to read.Anil: What kind of a guy quits software to join advertising? Answer: The interesting and creative type of guy. And his travelogue reflects just that.Arun Nair : The key guy from Club Mahindra is a new found blog enthusiast. Inspired enough to start his new blog and he starts off with a bang on his Coorg travel tales.Srinidhi : The most vociferous critic of Club Mahindra gets a chance to experience the resort for himself. Quite interesting to read his take.Anita Bora: The chronic traveller is yet to put her travelogue up. Just a small teaser up. Should be worth the wait, much like the Kamat hotel that she recommended.Dev Amritesh : My friend from college who now heads marketing at Dominos Pizza. Has the most ‘I care a damn’ attitude in expressing his honest views. Nice read. […]
