Travel Links I often get a lot of enquiries about travel. I’ve compiled a few useful links that I usually use. I’ve also stayed in some of the homestays listed below (marked with *). If you have any other suggestions and links to useful travel sites, do leave it as a comment and I’ll add it to the list. Travel Folks/Groups Get off your Ass Run by Santosh, the website has links to some great properties in and around Bangalore. But make sure to book beforehand! The Wanderers Travel to more exotic locations. Bangalore Mountaineering Group An active group of adventurers from Bangalore. Nature Admire They organise adventure weekends out of Bangalore. Travel Sites Dreamroutes For treks and hikes in Karnataka Around Bangalore To find places within 200 kms from Bangalore Weekend Getaways More weekend getaways from Bangalore Homestays/Farms (To suggest or list homestays, please contact me on anitabora5 at rediffmail dot com) The Jade Megha Thimmaiah runs a homstay in the south of Coorg called. The prices are 1200/head/night with all 3 meals and for a group of more than ten people its 900/head with all meals. Silver Oak Farm Close by, towards Nandi Hills, but supposed to be a really nice place Nature Nirvana A decent place in Chikmagalur. * Coffee Valley Hosamane, Sakleshpur: Ideal for a weekend out, eat, sleep and hike around the place. Some great home cooked food. Coorg Homestays Coorg and around is a nice place to explore and they have really nice homestays * Hacienda, Balele Nice place, quite far away from the madding crowd (and from Madikeri). Some great home cooked food, a big coffee plantation you can walk around and a nice place to chill out but it’s a bit of a drive if you want to see the sights around the area. * Jungle Resort, Masinagudi Another lovely place with the strategically located swimming pool enjoying pride of place. * Dazzle Dew, Allapuzha Not by the water, but a nicely done place with two cosy cottages. It’s a few kms pleasant walk to the main town area but Tony, the host can pick you up if you tell him when you’re reaching. The food was most awesome. I still remember the delicious banana leaf wrapped and steamed karimeen! And the delicious Kerala meals that we enjoyed to the fullest! Hi, Would you be interested in a partnership? I’m one of the admins for OneTravel.com, and we’re looking to partner with like-minded travel websites to help our online marketing efforts. Today I found your website on Google while searching for resource link partners. After exploring your website I found it quite interesting. If you agree to this partnership, in exchange for a link to our OneTravel.com website, we’ll offer you a link from one of our sister sites—none of which share the same hosting plan or IP address with each other. Our sites share an average Domain Authority (which is an estimate of true Page Rank) of 32, and we are constantly adding new content. In short, this would be a great partnership for us both. Let us know if you’re interested. We can also offer you a testimonial, product review, or a guest blog post. Thanks and talk soon,b3cf8bfa Nicole neetus@onetravel.com Reply
