The Jade
Megha Thimmaiah runs a homstay in the south of Coorg called. The prices are 1200/head/night with all 3 meals and for a group of more than ten people its 900/head with all meals.

Silver Oak Farm
Close by, towards Nandi Hills, but supposed to be a really nice place

Nature Nirvana
A decent place in Chikmagalur.

* Coffee Valley
Hosamane, Sakleshpur: Ideal for a weekend out, eat, sleep and hike around the place. Some great home cooked food.

Coorg Homestays
Coorg and around is a nice place to explore and they have really nice homestays

* Hacienda, Balele
Nice place, quite far away from the madding crowd (and from Madikeri). Some great home cooked food, a big coffee plantation you can walk around and a nice place to chill out but it’s a bit of a drive if you want to see the sights around the area.

* Jungle Resort, Masinagudi
Another lovely place with the strategically located swimming pool enjoying pride of place.

* Dazzle Dew, Allapuzha
Not by the water, but a nicely done place with two cosy cottages. It’s a few kms pleasant walk to the main town area but Tony, the host can pick you up if you tell him when you’re reaching. The food was most awesome. I still remember the delicious banana leaf wrapped and steamed karimeen! And the delicious Kerala meals that we enjoyed to the fullest!
