Reading List 2006 Posted on January 3, 2006January 4, 2006 By Anita I’m collecting reading material for 2006 and I think I have enough for about half the year. Any suggestions to add to the list are also welcome! Week (W)rap! Posted on December 12, 2005December 12, 2005 By Anita I was determined to catch something of the Habba this time (since I’ve been doing so continuously for the last two, in 2003 when I was visiting and in 2004 as a resident). Unfortunately, with most of the events during the day, it wasn’t too convenient to attend the musical concerts or the play, which would start at 6.30 pm. Is it possible to get from anywhere to anywhere by 6.30 on a weekday here in the city? Anyway. Hazards of being a foodie Posted on December 1, 2005December 1, 2005 By Anita Sigh, it’s difficult being a foodie, I say. Firstly, there’s just so much waiting there beckoning to you saying “eat me†and secondly, you’re always fighting a losing battle with the weighing scales. Losing battle all the way, especially since I realized (much to my dismay, might I add) that I will never come close to looking like Ms Natalie Gleb-drop-everything-dead-Gova, the current Miss Universe and decided therefore to go ahead and just enjoy being a food junkie instead. Two noteworthy performances Posted on November 18, 2005November 18, 2005 By Anita I have to write about two performances that I enjoyed in the last week. One was last Sunday evening at the Palace Grounds – Octoberfest, the festival organized by Kingfisher. Since, beer is not something that tickles my fancy, I was hoping the music would be worth going for. On that note, I must also add, that I was pleasantly surprised by the way the whole set-up was organized. They had nice seating arrangements all around the front area of the stage, so you could chill out and eat your food and drink your beer and enjoy the music from wherever you were.
