Point to ponder

Posted on September 29, 2003

If we spend so much time complaining of getting bored of what we do, I wonder then: Why we continue to do what we do?

Posted on March 12, 2013March 12, 2013

In August last year, I suffered from an Achilles tendon tear for which I had to undergo surgery. A few months ago, I wrote about being stuck in a (pink) cast. It was a frustrating time for me since I couldn’t do anything. Let alone cook myself a meal, clean…

Of resolutions and a brand new year

Posted on December 31, 2003

Of chance meetings

Posted on October 30, 2005October 30, 2005

I thought my time in Paris would be spent alone. Not that I had any problems. With its efficient rail and bus system, Paris is very much geared for tourists and it is difficult to get lost. I covered quite a lot of ground in the three days I was there. Including walking up the Champs-Elysees from Franklin Roosevelt station and the Eiffel Tower from Trocadera Gardens station, just as Jag had suggested (thanks Jag!). I especially loved the Louvre (where my head started spinning after a few hours) and the Moulin Rouge, the Basilica of Sacre Coeur and that whole bargain shopping stretch at Montmarte.

Intertia is what it is..It is much easier for the brain to keep on doing what you are used to than try something new. Also with anything unfamiliar is the risk of failure and unpredictability of the outcomes..

    I would highly recommend http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060960248/104-4257177-0742318?v=glance

    to get you going..
