Looking ahead at 2007!

Journey
I don’t know where I’m going
But, I sure know where I’ve been
Hanging on the promises
In songs of yesterday
An’ I’ve made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time
But, here I go again
Here I go again

It’s been quite a year. But it’s time to wrap it up in tissue and relegate it to the back of the cupboard along with all the other memories! And look with renewed hope and optimism at the coming year.

Here’s something really beautiful that a friend sent me and I’ve been listening to it again and again. It’s a beautiful chant and do get hold of it if you can…

Om Sarvesham swasthir bhavatu (May auspiciousness be unto all)
Sarvesham shantir bhavatu (May peace be unto all)
Sarvesham poornam bhavatu (May fullness be unto all)
Sarvesham mangalam bhavatu (May goodness be unto all)
Sarve bhavantu sukinaha (May everyone be happy)
Sarve santu niramiyaha (May everyone be without affliction)
Sarve bhadrani pashyantu (May everyone see only goodness)
Ma kashchit dukha bhak bhavet (Let none be the victim of suffering)
Asato ma sat gamaya (Lead me from the unreal to the real)
Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya (Lead me from darkness to light)
Mrtyor ma amritam gamaya (Lead me from death to immortality)
Om Poorna mada poorna midam (Om, that is full, this is full)
Poornad poorna mudachyate (From that full, this full is removed)
Poornasaya poornamadaya Poornameva vasishyate (Yet the full remains full always)
Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu (May the whole world attain peace & harmony)
Om Shanti, shanti, shanti

Wishing all of you an awesome, rocking 2007!!!

Pop about town!

Posted on June 7, 2005June 7, 2005

Dad, or Papa as I call him, arrived in town last week and therefore my slight lack of time. He’s in town for just a few days and it’s been quite interesting to have him around. One thing about Papa is that he flowers when Mum is not around. He’s talkative, chatty and engages everyone in some kind of conversation or another.

The Achilles tendon tear injury: Getting back

Posted on March 12, 2013March 12, 2013

In August last year, I suffered from an Achilles tendon tear for which I had to undergo surgery. A few months ago, I wrote about being stuck in a (pink) cast. It was a frustrating time for me since I couldn’t do anything. Let alone cook myself a meal, clean…

Search for an Internet broadband connection

Posted on May 22, 2007May 22, 2007

Why is this so hard, I am thinking? It should be as easy as walking in to the vendor, getting the information and then the connection. But if life was that easy, this wouldn’t be India, would it?! So here I am, still struggling to find a broadband connection at…
