Shameless plug Posted on December 11, 2003 I started it in June 2002, when I couldn’t find too many Indian bloggers online. It has grown and grown over the space of one and a half years. And led others to create more sophisticated lists and search engines based on it. I’ve spent countless hours updating, finding new blogs, replying to bloggers, apologising for delays. And though it’s taken quite a lot of time, it’s also been quite a satisfying experience. I’m hoping to do something more (jazzy/flashy/hi-tech?!) with the list once I get back to Mumbai this time (plans, plans!). So look out for the new look π But, meanwhile, the list has been nominated for the Best IndiBlogs directory and if you vote for it, I might just be inspired to work a little harder on it. And give you a small bribe (uh, you didn’t catch that on tape, did you?). So go there, what are you waiting for?! Some comments gone missing… Posted on July 26, 2004 The latest deluge of MT comments spam is creating havoc. Though I am using Jay Allen’s blacklist, it has to be updated almost everyday. Today, while cleaning up, a lot of valid comments got wiped out as they were showing up in the blacklist and I didn’t really notice. So… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
Flowers for VJ Posted on January 13, 2004 After much deliberation (that’s why the delay!), I decided on a basket of flowers for VJ, who won the Best Female Blogger at the Indibloggies. The painting’s done and getting packed right now, all ready to fly all the way from Mumbai to Chennai. Do hope you like it! Another blog meet… Posted on October 20, 2004 I was impressed to find that Delhi Bloggers have actually got a schedule for their meetings chalked out a year ahead! Their next meet is tomorrow. The Chennai bunch are an enthusiastic lot and I’ve already written about them earlier. But what’s up with Bangalore? Anita, you provide a great service to Indian bloggers and I certainly voted for you! You are the only list I found from Canada. Reply
Ok babe voted for your life time and the indie bloggies !! he he what will you give me now ? LOLOLOL Jil Reply
You deserve a nomination and a vote Anita π BTW Nilesh & group already had some hi-tech initiative in mind with their Hum*Blog effort, do see his blog. I think Ram and Kamat’s Blog portal too deserve fair share of appreciation. So what’s the assignment after Rediff? Reply
Jil: Thanks sweetie. Hehe. Let’s discuss the bribe under the table, not on the blog π Debashish: Thanks Deb. Trying out the world of the ‘independent worker’ for a while! Let’s see how it goes π Reply
Anita, your efforts are probably one of the main reasons for Indian bloggers getting together. I remember, although I started blogging in early 2001, I tried and gave up my attempts of finding Indian bloggers other than probably Anil Dash and Jishnu. It was in 2002 that I chanced upon your list and found a whole world of Hum*bloggers (we should start using that term, it sounds nice) already on the net. Thanks! Reply
Another thank you for what you have been doing, and another shameless plug: come check us out at Living in India (formerly India Economy Watch) – you may meet some old friends. Reply
Thanks Nilesh. Btw, are you updating Hum*blog these days? Edward: I’ll definitely check it out π Reply
