Goa – in colour!

Posted on October 29, 2004

Following my black and white set, here are the Dandeli and Goa pictures – in colour.

I missed the sunset at Dandeli since we were river rafting on the Kali and surrounded by thick forest all around.

But the sunset in Goa was beautiful and I could only go clickety click furiously! It is amazing how the colours of the sky change from moment to moment. I wish I could just paint every mood of the sky. Or write a haiku!

But instead, here is a collage instead. All the pictures were taken in the space of about half and hour.

If I write a book, I’d like to do it in a quiet place like this one. Sitting outside a cottage, looking over a beautiful mist covered valley. Watching the rolling hills and catching a glimpse of a shimmering lake in the distance. Enjoying a hot cup of coffee and…

A day with the animals

Posted on January 11, 2006January 12, 2006

On New Year’s Day, along with Usha for company, I headed out to WRRC (WildLife Rescueand Rehabilitation Center) on Banerghatta Road. I had been meaning to visit the centre for a while and decided that the 1st would be a good day to start.

Nice set of pictures. I particularly like the B&W ones of the guy on the boat. He looked so serene.

The colour ones, the top left is great. That’s the best shade of pink-sky i’ve ever seen.

Anita, These are really beautiful. I think it is time you start using slides. You’ll be amazed by the smoothness & the richness of colours.

Srini: It’s definitely worth a visit at this time of the year.

Ganesh: Like I said to Srini… The weather is very pleasant too. Hot, but not too hot… πŸ™‚

Aqua: You were obviously inside doing other things. It’s a sin to be in Goa and be inside!!

    Thanks Adel!

Suhas: You’re from Palolem?! Wow! Lovely beach yes.

    Thanks Chinar, Rohini.

Thanks Mahesh: You’re here after a long time. Hope all is well with you.

Hem: I did actually visit yours πŸ™‚ But have not had much time lately…

Arun: Ummm, you can say it again. I don’t mind πŸ˜‰

    Thanks Surinder, Khushee!

Ravages: Thanks! One of my favourite sky colours!

Nilesh: Thanks so much. But I don’t feel ready as yet. I tend to shoot a LOT so slides becomes very expensive. I have done a few shots on slides and the colours are definitely more impressive.

    Hi Anitha,

Liked the pictures you have posted. If you have a moment, could you tell me what lens/camera/filter did you use for these photographs?

I am particularly interested in black and white photography & saw some of those too in a previous post of yours. Again, I liked what I saw. I also thought that the picture you took of this person (Sujoy, I thought I read) perched on the boat is a wee bit less of a silhouette than it should have been. Or may be that was not your idea at all! πŸ˜€

    S!

    Thanks Prabz.

Souvik: I use a Nikon F75 and two lenses, the 28-80mm and the 70-300mm. No filters used for these photographs. And I usually use Fuji 200. The one with Sujoy, I made him sit on the boat. I liked the light falling on his back. It wasn’t intended to be a silhouette. Though I guess I could have tried a similar shot. Didn’t occur to me then πŸ™‚

Thanks SV. I was happy to get a few nice pictures since the last few times I’ve gone to Goa, I didn’t have my camera πŸ™‚

AWESOME pics..elles sont mieux que les photos en noir et blanc. Quand j’ai viste Goa, je n’ai pas pris les photos si belles – je suis vraiment jalouse de vos photos!! Est-que je peux ecrire en francais? πŸ˜‰ I’m sure you’ll get to Diplome if u want to – where there’s a will there’s a way! Go for it!

Are u a prof photographer by any chance?
