A very very happy birthday to the guy we all know as Madman and who introduced me and my sister to fine South East Asian cuisine with a wonderful home-cooked meal last year! Do hope Shiok grows from strength to strength and more and more Bangaloreans (and beyond) discover the art of fine dining… Do hope you grow crankier as the years go by! There was a dance teacher in school called Mrs Dhingra, who would take classes at her home. I bravely enrolled. Oh Fish! Posted on February 23, 2006February 23, 2006 Had some amazing fish last week at Chennai, when I was there for a one day trip. Caught up with Kiruba, who as always was nice enough to take out some time from his busy schedule. Looking for a place to grab a bite, he spotted a signboard saying Coconut Lagoon with the illustration of a karimeen fish. That was enough to get me enthused and we spied the restaurant, a few metres away. It promised the Delicacies of Mangalore, Goa and Kerala and we weren’t disappointed.
