Potluck dinner Posted on June 22, 2006June 22, 2006 So this is how it works. You invite a few friends. Open some nice wine. And make them get a dish each! Isn’t that the coolest idea? That way, you spend less time in front of the stove, and more time with the friends π Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
Soap for you? Posted on December 10, 2003 My mom and dad watch Hindi soaps with gusto. Every evening, back home, I watch with complete fascination as they coordinate their work so that they can tune in to their favourite serials. I was out once, and I asked my dad to pick me up at about 9 pm…. Another new brunch in town Posted on November 20, 2006November 21, 2006 Brunches can prove to be rather harmful to your pockets. But just hanging out at a nice place, enjoying the breezy and cool Bangalore weather in the company of family and friends over a long, leisurely lunch is not an altogether unpleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon either. I… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More

Oh, I was there at the Ranga Shankara today π , too bad I didn’t know you were coming on Sunday (and not Saturday) as well. I wrote about it here: http://www.swaroopch.info/archives/2005/03/27/a-heap-of-broken-images/ Reply
A Heap of broken Images… a brilliant play by most standards. Brilliant direction… Acting at its Zenith… and strong story line. For Arundhati Raja to have balanced the act to perfection. with the alter ego that plays on the TV screen. I now wish i saw the kannada version too. BTW brilliant pictures, i was into photogrpahy earlier but have now stopped completly, would love to get back to it sometime. Reply
mithun: it is anitabora5 at rediffmail dot com muthu: all tickets were sold out, so i landed up watching a movie instead π ferrari: we shall plan another one soon. hope the chennai one was good! pradeep: unfortunately, no tickets! did you enjoy the play? swaroop: didn’t get tickets on either day. so will have to be happy with your write-up as of now! satya: i missed it! the kannada version was also supposedly very good. and sold out too π and thanks for the nice words. i’ve only taken up my clicking hobby seriously after moving to bangalore, so it’s never too late! Sir i have translated a three act play “Revenge of Shakuni” written by late Gonesf Gogoi, an eminent playwriter of Assam in the 40’s wherein he captured the essnce of the Mahabharata in a tiny volume of 40 pages only, for a wider audience. I am writting this letter to explore a possibility of staging the same through renown theatre groups and request you to have a glance on the creation. I shall be awaiting your reaction. with regards Prashanta Kumar Bordoloi Reply
