In a galaxy far, far away… Posted on May 24, 2005May 25, 2005 At the theatres: Watched Star Wars, Episode III (Revenge of the Sith) and I must say that I found it better than the last installment (Attack of the Clones). Though I’m not a Star Wars fanatic, I do admire George Lucas for dreaming up such an immense saga (and that too, not in order!). I guess Star Wars fans will probably like this version going by the way the movie is raking in the moolah. This is also the last installment, the one that seals all the episodes, so I guess the reception is expected. I thought the whole Anakin Skywalker being sucked into the dark side and turning into the evil Darth Vader was a little sudden. And to think it was all for a woman’s love. Sigh. They never learn do they?! Anyway, if you’re out of work, it’s a good idea to head to a theatre and watch this one. This is the way the episodes were released: Star Wars, Episode IV (1977): A New Hope Star Wars, Episode V (1980): The Empire Strikes Back Star Wars, Episode VI (1983): Return of the Jedi Star Wars, Episode I (1999): The Phantom Menace Star Wars, Episode II (2002): Attack of the Clones Star Wars, Episode III (2005): Revenge of the Sith Which one was your favourite episode? The view from here Posted on January 23, 2007January 23, 2007 Γ’β¬ΕSmart, qualified, witty, employed young women, extrovert, party animals – in short “eligible” in every sense but unmarried. Reason: they haven’t come across the “right” man yet. Are their expectations very high? Do they want the looks of a Brad Pitt and the qualities of a Darcy and the wealth of Bill Gates preferably with the voice of Amitabh Bachchan and the poetry of Neruda? Not really. They just want a man who shares their interests and respects their independence and is fun to be with. Or so they claim! Necessary Evil? Posted on February 27, 2007February 27, 2007 So in my whole friend circle, I know just one person who doesn’t possess a cell phone. One. Over a period of time, we’ve grown so used to this handy device that life without it is quite difficult to imagine. I for one, would feel lost without one. I, especially… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
Seafood @ Sana-dige Posted on July 4, 2006July 4, 2006 Since I love sea food, my culinary antennas always go up when someone talks about good fishy fare here in Bangalore. I had a number of favourites in Mumbai, but here it’s a little more difficult to get good fish. So on a lazy Saturday afternoon, along with Madman, Ree… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
I haven’t seen any of these movies but wud love to see them. So in which order do you suggest shud these be watched – in the order they were released or sequentially according to the episode numbers? Reply
Hey, Count me too as the Starwars fanatic. Though I found the last episode good, it had uncharacteristic portrayal of a Jedi killing younglings. Is the Dark side so bad to kill children? That defeats the whole training Ani underwent with Obi Wan. After watching the Revenge of the Sith, watched the older version DVDs and tried to sew together the story. Very impressive and coherently put togeger over a span of three decades. Bravo George. Cheers Reply
new look, looks good. I am not Star wars fanatic and believe it or not I didn’t watch a single episode yet. But heard or read first movie was very good and I think it was year 1976. Reply
First of all, I adore your new look! Kit Kit looks so adorable! And Star Wars, well, can’t say much because I have only watched one movie out of that whole lot, and that was The Phantom Menace. But Star Wars doesn’t interest me as much, for some strange reason. Reply
Damn whatever order George Lucas has been making the movies, but I am watching them in order! So far have watched 1, 2 and 3 of them and got to say Revenge of the Sith is much much better that Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones! Now I hear that 4, 5 and 6 are way too better than these three, I am dying to see them π Reply
anand: you can watch them in any order since every one of them is a complete film. but if you want, you can get the DVD series and watch it back to back one day π and then go watch the latest episode on screen! nainar: that scene was strange. couldn’t really digest it. especially considering padme was pregnant with baby and stuff. somehow, it didn’t go down too well. but you’re right. must have required quite some effort to put the whole thing together. tarun: it’s never to late to start π khushee: thanks π she’s a doll! i can understand. not everyone’s cuppa tea! nku: good for you! hope you manage to catch all of them π Reply
I am trying to be out of work, hope I will succeed soon. Then I will definitely watch all these on DVD, curling up in my favourite chair. π Reply
My all time favourite was the the original Star Wars. I was not even born when the first movie was released. But I watched it and the two sequels, almost two decades later, when the digitally re-mastered versions were released. I liked the sequels too. As per the two prequels, “The Phantom Menace” & “Attack of the clones” were disappointing. But a lot of people say that the episode III is better. Will probably watch it in the coming days. Reply
Moral of the Story: Women are responsible for turning Good into Evil. I don’t watch Star Wars; but I’m happy they got this one right. Reply
Know wht?? This is the 3rd post of the day Im reading on Star Wars…still dont feel like watching that movie. I also haven’t seen X-Men, Harry Potter & LOR. Hmmm…dont know why? I wud prefer watching Matrix trilogy anytime π Anyway, think I will give it a try for this one… Reply
did you and pallavi do this together… watch Star Wars and change your blog’s format??? i liked the earlier one better π Reply
i also haven’t seen any of the Star Wars movies. I never thought about it, but Vasu thinks i am weird. And its only recently that i realise i belong to a dwindling minority group of people who have not watched the movies. Maybe i will catch them when i get back to India. 1979 was right,by the way, thats when the first movie,Episode IV was release. Reply
must be the only one wo has not seen any of these movies and do not feel an inclination too! Something must be wrong with me. Reply
