Another new brunch in town Posted on November 20, 2006November 21, 2006 Brunches can prove to be rather harmful to your pockets. But just hanging out at a nice place, enjoying the breezy and cool Bangalore weather in the company of family and friends over a long, leisurely lunch is not an altogether unpleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon either. I would recommend it once in a while! This Sunday, I got an opportunity to try out the brunch at Lido, the 24 hour coffee place and restaurant, at Ista. For those of you who might not know this place, it’s the hotel built in the same place where the old Lido theatre was located. It’s relatively new so a lot of people haven’t heard of it as yet. Here’s the review of Ista and Lido and a whole lot of pictures! A near disaster @ Mumbai airport… Posted on October 15, 2005October 15, 2005 My journey started off on a slightly scary note when I reach the airport at 5 am on the 13th morning to find that the Gulf Air flight I am taking to London via Abu Dhabi is rescheduled. ‘It’s another weekend’ musings… Posted on August 20, 2004 I’ve been enjoying the weather the last few days. Kit Kit too is finding it much cooler compared to Mumbai and can often be found perching on my lap, or cuddling up under the blanket (which she would never do there!). I’ve been in a good mood too. Even the… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More
Sights and sounds of an Indian marketplace Posted on March 26, 2006March 27, 2006 Marketplaces never cease to fascinate me. I can sit and watch the going-ons for hours. There’s so much action. Buying, selling, haggling, transporting, cutting, trimming, sorting, cleaning – it’s all there. Saturday morning, I made a trip to Russell market. After two years in Bangalore, I thought it was high… Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Read More

Hi! The food looks so yummy! But I was sad to hear that LIDO theatre is not there anymore When we were kids, our parents used to take us for movies and Lido, was one of our favorites. When I come to Bangalore next, Im going to check it out! Lydia Reply
